Our History 365 is a interactive program under the umbrella of the Family Love and Involvement Program (FLIP) that addresses the contributions of Black people economically, politically, and culturally to the world. The program fills the gaps for students of the public school system in learning the many historical facts of African and Black ancestors of the past and present day. Intended for a diverse audience, the program aims to reach all students, particularly students of African descent, to shed light on their African heritage, self-worth, and their roles to continue the great traditions of their ancestors.
Furthermore, Our History 365 is designed to dispel the assumption that Black history started with slavery. Beginning with West African culture, we will journey through the “then and now” of a rich heritage and traditions. Additionally, we will address specific issues that affect young people, and the impact of those issues on their lives.
